Blue Solutions Canada is a subsidiary of the French Bolloré Group, specializing in the development and manufacturing of solid-state batteries for various applications, particularly in the transportation sector. Established in Boucherville, Quebec since 2007, the company is at the forefront of solid-state battery technology, producing the world's first commercial all-solid battery. These batteries are primarily used to power electric vehicles, including Mercedes-Benz eCitaro electric buses. Blue Solutions' unique lithium-metal-polymer (LMP) battery technology is highly recyclable and environmentally friendly. The Boucherville facility is one of only two manufacturing plants worldwide producing these advanced batteries, positioning Canada as a significant player in the emerging field of solid-state batteries for electric vehicles and other applications.
