Alcoa Corporation, originally known as the Aluminum Company of America, is an American industrial corporation and one of the world's largest producers of aluminum. Founded in 1888 by Charles Martin Hall, Alfred E. Hunt, and Arthur Vining Davis, Alcoa pioneered the mass production of aluminum, significantly reducing its cost and increasing its availability through the development of the Hall–Héroult process. Provides nearly 2,500 direct jobs in the province.
