Engineered Power is a Canadian company founded in 2000 and headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, specializing in the design and manufacture of advanced lithium-primary cells and batteries. With over 20 years of experience, the company focuses on providing energy storage solutions for extreme environments, particularly serving the oil and gas, pipeline, and oceanographic industries. Engineered Power's expertise lies in producing non-rechargeable cells designed to withstand high vibration, shock, and temperatures up to 225°C. Their product range includes various lithium-primary chemistries, such as Li-CFx, hybrid Li-CFx/MnO2, and Lithium Sulfuryl Chloride, with cell sizes ranging from AAA to DDD. The company operates a 34,000 square foot facility equipped with separate dry rooms and rigorous quality control processes. In 2018, Engineered Power developed a 3.9V non-rechargeable Lithium Sulfuryl Chloride chemistry specifically for the pipeline and oceanographic industry.
